Roast Beef Cooked in a Slow Cooker

For this recipe, I wanted to make a pot roast that everyone could relish, one that kept the aforementioned elements classic to the dish while adding some bold, fun flavors. French onion soup seasoning gives it a flavour that transported me straight to childhood, while the IPA adds a nice hoppy bitterness. Throw these together in a ho-hum cooker and you take an easy dinner that volition exist prepare in a few hours. I love to serve this with white rice or toasted sliced sourdough.

boneless chuck roast, cut into medium-sized cubes

(12-oz.) tin can IPA beer

three c.

low-sodium beefiness stock or broth

one tbsp.

beef burgoo base, such as Improve Than Bouillon

medium carrot, cut into rounds

medium yellow onion, chopped

pocket-size Yukon Gold potatoes, cutting into one" chunks

sprigs fresh thyme

1

parcel onion soup mix

  1. In a large skillet, estrus oil over medium-loftier heat until it shimmers. Add half the beef and sear until browned on all sides.  Transfer to a plate and repeat with the other half of the beef.
